Refund and Returns Policy

Version: 1.0
Effective Date: 1.7.2026

1. Introduction

At Reach Courses (“Reach Courses”, “we”, “our” or “us”), we are committed to providing high-quality online learning and professional development services. We aim to be transparent and fair in our approach to refunds and cancellations while complying with applicable UK consumer legislation.

Reach Courses is a trading name of Reach Youth Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company Number 09065851).

This Refunds & Cancellation Policy explains your rights when purchasing courses, subscriptions, organisational licences and other digital services through reachcourses.co.uk.

This policy should be read alongside our Website Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Individual course purchases
  • Course bundles
  • Digital learning resources
  • Online assessments
  • CPD training
  • Subscription services
  • Organisational and business licences
  • Corporate training purchased through our website

It does not apply where separate written contractual terms have been agreed with a business or organisational customer.

3. Consumer Rights

Nothing within this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

4. Digital Content

Most products sold by Reach Courses consist of digital content delivered immediately after purchase.

By purchasing digital content and requesting immediate access, you acknowledge that:

  • access may begin immediately after payment;
  • once digital content has been accessed, your statutory cancellation rights may be reduced or cease where permitted by law;
  • you expressly request the immediate supply of digital content.

5. Cooling-Off Period

Where applicable, consumers purchasing online may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period.

However, where you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that this affects your cancellation rights, refunds may no longer be available once access has begun.

6. Individual Course Refunds

Refund requests may be considered where:

  • duplicate purchases have occurred;
  • payment has been taken in error;
  • technical issues prevent reasonable access and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period;
  • the incorrect course has been purchased and no learning activity has commenced.

Refund requests should normally be submitted within 14 days of purchase.

Each request will be assessed on its individual circumstances.

7. Circumstances Where Refunds Are Normally Not Available

Refunds will generally not be provided where:

  • a course has been accessed or substantially completed;
  • assessments have been attempted;
  • a certificate has been issued;
  • downloadable resources have been accessed;
  • the learner no longer requires the training;
  • an employer changes training requirements;
  • a learner leaves employment after enrolment;
  • dissatisfaction relates solely to personal preference rather than a defect in the service.

8. Course Transfers

At our discretion, Reach Courses may permit a learner to transfer to an alternative course where:

  • the request is made promptly after purchase;
  • no significant learning activity has taken place;
  • the alternative course is of equivalent value.

Any price difference may be payable or refundable depending on the circumstances.

Course transfers are not guaranteed.

9. Organisational Licences

Where organisations purchase multiple licences:

  • licences remain valid for the agreed licence period;
  • unused licences are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing;
  • organisations are responsible for allocating licences before their expiry date.

Exceptions may be considered where there has been an administrative error on the part of Reach Courses.

10. Subscription Services

Where subscriptions are offered:

  • subscriptions continue until cancelled;
  • cancellation prevents future renewals;
  • cancellation does not normally entitle the customer to a refund for the current subscription period;
  • access will usually continue until the end of the paid subscription term.

Subscription prices may change in the future. Any changes will not affect the current billing period and will be communicated in advance where required.

11. Live Online Training

If Reach Courses provides live online sessions:

  • cancellations made sufficiently in advance may qualify for transfer or credit;
  • failure to attend without notice (“no-show”) will normally not qualify for a refund;
  • where Reach Courses cancels a live session, an alternative session or full refund will normally be offered.

12. Corporate Training

Corporate training booked under a separate written agreement shall be governed by the terms of that agreement.

Where no separate agreement exists, cancellation charges may apply depending upon the notice provided and costs already incurred.

13. Technical Issues

If you experience technical difficulties accessing your course, we encourage you to contact our support team as soon as possible.

Where a technical fault is caused by Reach Courses and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, we may, at our discretion:

  • restore access;
  • extend your enrolment period;
  • provide an alternative course;
  • offer a partial or full refund where appropriate.

Technical issues caused by the user’s own device, internet connection or software configuration may not qualify for a refund.

14. Promotional Purchases

Courses purchased during promotions, discounts or special offers remain subject to this policy unless expressly stated otherwise.

Discounted pricing does not reduce your statutory consumer rights.

15. Gift Purchases

Where courses are purchased as gifts:

  • refunds will normally be made only to the original purchaser;
  • once the recipient has activated or accessed the course, refunds will generally no longer be available.

16. Fraudulent Purchases

Reach Courses reserves the right to refuse refunds where fraud, abuse of our refund policy, chargeback fraud or other dishonest conduct is suspected.

Accounts involved in fraudulent activity may be suspended or permanently closed.

17. Chargebacks

Customers are encouraged to contact Reach Courses before initiating a chargeback with their payment provider.

Where an unjustified chargeback is raised:

  • access to courses may be suspended;
  • certificates may be withdrawn pending investigation;
  • further purchases may be restricted.

18. Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending upon your payment provider.

Reach Courses is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment providers.

19. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests should include:

  • your full name;
  • registered email address;
  • order or invoice number (where available);
  • course title;
  • reason for the request.

Providing complete information helps us investigate your request promptly.

20. Our Decision

Each refund request is assessed fairly and on its own merits.

Where a refund is approved, we will notify you and arrange repayment as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where a refund cannot be approved, we will explain the reasons for our decision.

21. Policy Changes

Reach Courses reserves the right to amend this Refunds & Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on reachcourses.co.uk.
