The Equality & Diversity course is a CPD professional development programme designed to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion when working with children and young people. Across three progressive modules, learners explore the foundations of equality and diversity, the legal framework surrounding professional practice, different forms of discrimination, and the risks and warning signs associated with inequality and discriminatory harm. The course then moves into practical application, covering professional responsibilities, safeguarding procedures, accurate record-keeping, appropriate responses to concerns, confidentiality, information sharing, and ongoing support. Learners also have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a realistic professional scenario and complete a final assessment. Successful completion leads to a CPD certificate.
